Alain Bras

Alain Bras is one of Ireland's best known Sommeliers and has dedicated the past 30 years to increasing his knowledge on every area of wine.  From being restaurant owner, to being a hotel sommelier, creating award winning cellars in some Relais & Chateaux Hotels, to becoming a "Caviste Sommelier" and opening a boutique wine shop in Kenmare with his partner Christine. 

Alain has been a lecturer on WSET courses for over 17 years, through the Wine Board of Ireland.  He is dedicated, along with his partner Christine, to creating a school that brings knowledge and enthusiasm for wine. We are aware that everyone wants to learn about wine for many different reasons and our school aims to cover all areas.

Alain is still very much a “caviste sommelier", by hand-sourcing an array of authentic wines made by both small and big growers with true passion and dedication, and bringing these wines to the people.
